Scotland 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
No power

2010 HSE Auto
Recently I am getting a “no power “ problem.
Car starts good. Into drive and no revs, just tick over.
Push back into neutral, back to drive and all ok.
Sometimes the battery light is on, disappears when moved to neutral then back to drive.
Happened twice yesterday. Battery is 6 months old.
Battery reading is 12.4 stopped and 14.4 engine running.
Any ideas please. Jim A

It's odd this one but not unknown, unfortunately I can't find a posting where someone has bothered to tell us how they overcame problem.

(my search https://www.freel2.com/forum/search.php?se...ch_time=0)

If no Error Codes then Battery Light is only clue, try searching for 'Blue Wire' errors. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Happens to me whenever i put her into gear too quickly after starting the engine.

Never happens when i wait that extra couple of seconds for the "system check..." message to disappear on the dash before selecting a gear.

Grue, i am one of these guys who always wait for system check, even if i have only popped in for a paper i still go through procedure.
I do watch so that i can slip back to neutral then back to drive.
Hopefully tomorrow i will put the AP200 on and see if anything shows up.
More annoying than anything else.
Thanks to all Jim A
