sat nav screen

Good Morning all, Its one of those niggling faults again, Its happened 3 times now I'd be driving along and there would be a high pitched beep, just for a second and the display, where the sat nav is, would blank out,no effect on engine, after a second or 2 it comes back on. Its a 2011 HSE Diesel ...any thoughts??

Mines not as new as yours but it’s done this many times funnily enough not once since I fitted the new Varta battery.

Sounds possibly like a problem with one of the modules, usually Bluetooth or satnav HHD unit. Theres plenty of information on this site about how to diagnose and fix Thumbs Up

Lots of info on MOST loop that connects the infotainment system together and a fault (interruption) in any of the connected modules will give similar symptoms to yours.

The included video showing fault finding, using a spare fibre loop, is worth a watch.

As above, the screen and HU controller has lost data from the MOST. This can be due to a module failing, or a bad or loose MOST connection at one the many modules the information system is made up of.
You could have a diagnostic run on the infotainment system, and see if there are any modules giving errors. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

It depends on the model as to what could be fitted. There are a few variations depending on the spec, but luckily the components are on in a few locations.
The NAV drive is under the driver's seat.
The audio amplifier, BT module and DAB module (if fitted) are under the RH boot side panel.
The screen is obvious.
The audio system controller is where the buttons are (these are vary by spec), the CD unit is behind, again varying by spec. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
