Doesn't want to start in the mornings.

Last couple of days my 2013 key less start has become difficult to start saying parking brake issues and other random messages.
Only way i have managed to start is by locking car again pumping the brake pedal holding down brake with more pressure than usual and car starts. During the day no problem, I am wondering if it's the change of temperature during the night till morning that's causing the problem.
I'll get a diagnostic check tomorrow to see if anything shows up.

Do you just dock the key, foot on the clutch, press the start button? Try docking the key and pressing the start button, wait until the systems have initialised, then put your foot on the clutch and press the start button again. This allows the abs system to start up and basically doing what you are doing with the foot pedal. How old is the battery as slow abs initialisation is a symptom of low power?
(I’ve said clutch as I thought the TD4 was manual gearbox, if yours is automatic the replace clutch with foot brake)

Thanks I'll try that I only use that procedure when it's very cold.

OLosteve, i use that procedure every time i start up.
Even if i just drive to the shops i still wait for the car to do its checks before starting.
Read somewhere that this should be done always. Jim A

Ditto for start procedure here with keyless/non dockable key. It's best not to rush the FL2 - let it initialise the systems before starting Thumbs Up 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Manual Dynamic

This has got to be one of the best, "Forums", you can always find the most helpful and friendly people on here and it's a reassuring safety net for problem solving.
I'm 77 today so the car starting this morning is a brilliant birthday present.
