Do you just dock the key, foot on the clutch, press the start button? Try docking the key and pressing the start button, wait until the systems have initialised, then put your foot on the clutch and press the start button again. This allows the abs system to start up and basically doing what you are doing with the foot pedal. How old is the battery as slow abs initialisation is a symptom of low power?

Ditto for start procedure here with keyless/non dockable key. It's best not to rush the FL2 - let it initialise the systems before starting 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Manual Dynamic

I take it the starter battery is not using a "walking frame!" Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

RESULT!! Followed advice and started no problem this morning. This has got to be one of the best, "Forums", you can always find the most helpful and friendly people on here and it's a reassuring safety net for problem solving. I'm 77 today so the car starting this morning is a brilliant birthday present. |
