Ambient temperature value problem

Is there a problem if the ambient temperature value is wrongly displayed on bord ? I know hhat the sensor is located inside the door mirror but I do not know if this reading is used in car management system. Thanks

Not 100% sure, but pretty sure that's only used for climate control.

Engine air temp sensors are part of the intake system, since each engine option will have it's own sensors installed.

If you download the shop manual, that should tell you what it's for.

The ambient temperature sensor is used for driver information of outside temperature, and by the CJB to power the door mirror heaters, and the HVAC system also uses the temp data for heater or AC compensation.
The engine has its own air temperature sensors, which are more relevant to the engine than the external temperature sensor. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I believe that Alex pointed out that his GAP tool was likely out of calibration or was that a different poster?
