Hi everyone,

Had a search online and through the forums trying to figure out how to install reverse camera to my 2007 FL2 HSE, story so far is...

Got a reverse camera and asked a local garage to fit it, where they mounted the camera, connected it to reverse light power and ran video cable up to behind satnav screen but there was nowhere to plug into.

After some searching online, read that due to HSE having optic cables, that a GVIF Interface Unit is needed, so got one of these but it came standalone/didn't come with any cables.

So, needing to get necessary cables to connect camera to GVIF to SatNav screen (proving difficult to find), understand where to install GVIF (should go near/behind SatNav screen? Ontop of SatNav DVD unit underneath driver seat?) and hopefully plug it all in for reversing bliss!

Hoping someone can help guide me to get the job finished or come to accept it's never going to happen!

Of course, please let me know if I've broken any forum rules/missed anything/can give anymore info to help narrow down.

Bits I'm having trouble with is what cables are needed and where to buy them from, having the cables may make this a lot easier!

Thinking I'm needing to do these steps;

01. Reverse camera power cable connected to reverse light power
02. Fit GVIF unit on top of SatNav DVD player
03. Visual cable from reverse camera plugs into AV cable and AV cable plugs into GVIF unit 'AV (In/Out)'

04. Cable between SatNav screen to SatNav DVD player is unplugged and plugged into LCD cable, LCD cable is plugged GVIF unit 'LCD (In/Out)' and other piece of LCD cable is plugged into SatNav DVD player

05. Power cable into GVIF unit but not sure what's on the other end/where this goes to?

However, my GVIF unit has separate ports for LCD In and LCD Out whereas only spec I can find only has one LCD In/Out port...

Thought this would be easy! Probably better off getting a unit with the cables or just leaving it!
