Look at the fob casing, particularly the little tabs on the side. Any damage on the sides can cause dragging and jamming inside the dock. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I have two key fobs. When I stop the engine I push the key in and it pops out a wee bit then I just pull it out. No strain on key or slot.

Well comparing both fobs the little tabs on both are near as damn it the same. Possibly the right hand tab on the fob that comes out easily is a bit more worn down but is miniscule. Anyway took a stanley knife to the right hand tab on problematic fob. Trimmed a gnats off it and bingo comes out fine now. Thanks |

Mine pop out around 15mm which is more than enough to grip the fob to remove it. Anyway as you may have seen from post above looks like was an easy fix. Thanks for your input. |
