I think it's just a measure of society as a whole, No one gives a F Censored K, especially if it's not their company and their money, I was fobbed off as a time waster by the first L/R dealer I approached but I've been pleased with my L/R dealer, but then again I've had no real problems and the sales man is warming me up for a RRS.
The same week I bought My FL2 I also bought a new Seat Ibiza for the missus, I toured 3 Dealers for that and found them all to be morons and the one I did chose to buy from give us the car without the radio Initialised, polish still smeared allover, the matts missing and a Citeron tax disc holder(the last frainchise they held)

Customer service in any business is now a thing of the past!

I always found BMW to good in customer service. My last car was a BMW 3 series coupe and it was rear ended whilst being delivered to me ( Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry ) Dealer rang me and offered for it to be repaired or a new car ordered. Obviously I went for the latter and whilst i waited another 8 weeks for it they supplied me with a free 3 series to use When the replacement arrived they also offered me some free accessories so i opted for a roof rack and 2 cycle bars (which would have cost over £500). After 18 months I had a sensor fault and after calling BMW Assist I was swiftly taken to a local dealer and given a brand spanking new 3 series with 9 miles on the clock to use for a week whilst mine was being fixed!

See even BMW's have problems but at least their customer service is about ten billion trillion zillion times better than LR's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BMW ASSIST like LANDROVER ASSIST (and also SUBARU ASSIST) is/was run by a company called MONDIAL, and it is they that arrange hire cars-when my 840ci Bmw blew a water hose I was given a New RR for 4 days and another time while it was in for warranty work I got a 325 touring both times from Enterprise (The value/group of the car under warranty dictates the type/value of replacement) as the BMW dealer never had no courtesy cars spare.

The dealer in question were at that time BMW dealer of the year and in 3 years I paid £175 on 4 seperate occasions for 4 wheel alignment, and then when my mobile mechanic changed the Track rod ends they were rusted to Censored and had never been adjusted for years, and I ruined a £1000 set of tyres in 800 miles. They charged me £100+ for regassing the aircon which they forgot to do and generally ripped me off at every turn.
oh but you got offered coffee by the bird with the big tits on reception Thumbs Up

When I had a new engine in my 2 year od Imprezza I got a Zaffira for 2 months Embarassed Hardly like for like.

Went to the other dealer today (wasnt looking forward to it as I had problems with them last year) Quite surprised as I arrived when the guy behind the desk came straight out onto the carpark to me to look at the grille. Next minute he had drove it into the workshop whilst a cleaner inside the Service Dept offered me a cup of tea! (no red carpet but beggers cant be choosers!). Technician took off the grille, refixed it and asked me to wait an hour for the glue to dry and even asked if i wanted running into town to lose some time as they would be quite happy to do so!!

So grille now back on and all is well! Thumbs Up

Even happy with the service - Shocked
