I always found BMW to good in customer service. My last car was a BMW 3 series coupe and it was rear ended whilst being delivered to me ( ) Dealer rang me and offered for it to be repaired or a new car ordered. Obviously I went for the latter and whilst i waited another 8 weeks for it they supplied me with a free 3 series to use When the replacement arrived they also offered me some free accessories so i opted for a roof rack and 2 cycle bars (which would have cost over £500). After 18 months I had a sensor fault and after calling BMW Assist I was swiftly taken to a local dealer and given a brand spanking new 3 series with 9 miles on the clock to use for a week whilst mine was being fixed!

BMW ASSIST like LANDROVER ASSIST (and also SUBARU ASSIST) is/was run by a company called MONDIAL, and it is they that arrange hire cars-when my 840ci Bmw blew a water hose I was given a New RR for 4 days and another time while it was in for warranty work I got a 325 touring both times from Enterprise (The value/group of the car under warranty dictates the type/value of replacement) as the BMW dealer never had no courtesy cars spare.

Went to the other dealer today (wasnt looking forward to it as I had problems with them last year) Quite surprised as I arrived when the guy behind the desk came straight out onto the carpark to me to look at the grille. Next minute he had drove it into the workshop whilst a cleaner inside the Service Dept offered me a cup of tea! (no red carpet but beggers cant be choosers!). Technician took off the grille, refixed it and asked me to wait an hour for the glue to dry and even asked if i wanted running into town to lose some time as they would be quite happy to do so!!
