I have the Thule aerobars and feet which clamp directly on to the roof and they have been absolutely fine. Just buy the second set of feet to fit the Freelander. 2007 TD4 HSE |

No real benefit to the roof rails, more cost and more work to fit. Current driveway contents:

I made the mistake of buying the copy rails. Lost a badly fitting cap, the fixed cross bar have corroded. The B attachment to the rail was held on by a self tapper (probably the same for the originals). I had to do major modifications so the rails are structurally sound.

Just an idea, I recently fitted roof rails and I have a set of Thule Aerobars which were on my work Octavia Estate and they appear to fit fine onto the non-LR rails, might be worth checking if your Volvo set will fit the LR roof rails (or OEM version) may be cheaper that way. |

The Land Rover cross bars (at least I have these as originals, 2 pairs) have LR logo on the ends. If you pull out the rubber strip it has Volvo on the back. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
