Tremmors

I tought my car showed some light tremmors when driving +140kmph / +90mph but the dealer checked it out and said it's not speed dependant but gear dependant. He says it trembles in 5th and 6th gear.

He invited me to have it test driven by a LR main technician as the themselves have no idea what it is and how to solve it.

It's not a big tremmor as my wife wasn't quite convinced it wasn't normal, but I told her that for such a car it should not even tremble at max speed.

Personally i tought it was some bad alignment of the wheels but the technician at my dealer did not believe that was the couse.

Anyway I'm glad the technician awknowledged the tremmor so they have no choise but to fix it now.

Any ideas would be welcome as I'd like to be prepared for any bullshit they may come up with.

they will probably blame the unevenness of the road surface combined with an imperfection with the level of tread of your tyres which inturn is inconsistent with front / rear combined with the amount of tread on the sole of your accelerating foot.................or they could say they aint got a Censored Whistle

My wife now agrees with me, she feels it too.
I also concur to what the dealer said. Mostly in 5th gear and probably 6th which I did not have a chance to test so much.

I now also believe it is not a tyre problem but something else.

I sense the same thing from about 90 kph, did a rebalancing of the wheels, and it still is there. As you say it is hardly noticeble, but very annoying once you feel it. Still trying to find out what it is... Fl2 zermattsilver TD4 S man

If you ever find out, let me know. I'll be sure to do the same.
