Screwing it or clipping it will make no difference if the seal has gone, just remove it and smear a bit of sealant on the seal and refit it. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

Landrover suggest double sided tape opposed to any sealant as it has to be removed to replace the bulb. The seal looks perfect just poorly designed. You have to buy the light assembly to get a new seal. |

A smear of sealant on the seal will be easier to remove than double sided tape, but you do as you see fit, in over five years of Freelander ownership i never had to replace a high level brake light lamp, it's no joke p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

it's unacceptable that a car into its 8th. year of production still has a trivial problem such as an ill fitting seal !
