Bob,

in you second picture you included the 1 mm offset for the ears but in your first picture you excluded this offset.

When I measured my pads I excluded the offset.

It is always easier to understand what is being discussed when there are visual aids.



One last thought............the information here should be useful for anyone doing the work (changing brakes) or just checking the pads to assess how worn they are and it should also be useful for anyone that wants to get the work done by someone else.


I would like to believe that we achieved that.

You're right, noticed that just after I posted it. Will do the job properly next time.




Correct dimension for pad backing.
