throttle response fault

2010 HSE auto
this an odd one. On occasions after starting the car there is no response to the throttle.
Just sits and ticks over nicely for up to about 30-40 seconds before i get a response
My starting method is, Key in dock, press start button without foot on brake, let car do system check, then foot on brake and start immediately, every time..
SWMBO noticed it seems to only have this problem when the car is parked facing uphill.
Maybe coincidence. Very intermittent.
after starting the car goes perfectly and can stop start a few times with no problems.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks Jim A

No ideas but my MY10 (TD4 Auto) used to infrequently do the same thing. Always with a warm engine and always when about to reverse out of a parking space.

I never got to the bottom of it and put it down to not giving the car enough time to get its ducks in a row before trying to move off. The only way to recover the throttle response was shut down and then restart the car. I don’t think it was a particularly uncommon occurrence in cars of that vintage.

My current car occasionally fails to start the ICE system - just a black screen with no radio, sat nav, reversing camera or parking sensors. Shut down, pause and restart fixes that too.
