Wales 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Barolo Black
Nearside Headlamp levelling device inoperative (4.1.5 (a))

I have an 07 Freelander2 SE it has failed the MOT for the above reason. Big Cry

Garage is trying to fix the light. Thing is l didn’t think my car had self leveling
Anyway has anyone had this issue and if so how did you fix it. 2008 Freelander2 SE Black SOLD
2010 Mini Cooper auto SOLD
2001 Mercedes SL500 Silver makes the above look slow 0-60 6.1 secs. 😃

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue

Even my gs has headlamp levelling devices. They’re manual though, a roller on the light panel to the right of the steering column.

Should be a straight forward replacement. Headlight unit is easy to remove. Not expensive either. Jules

Obviously didnt make myself clear to what I was referring to...
The motor should be a straight forward replacement. I think you 'll need to remove the headlight unit to replace the motor. The replacement motor is not expensive IMO. Jules

Ah yes.That part is indeed cheap £17.99.

Fortunately the garage tested everything and found a cable was split. So they’ve replaced the cable entirely, which should mean that does not go wrong in the future.

So MOT plus new bulbs all round , plus cable and time to trace fault £136 which I think is brilliant.
