I bought a cheap hose at £12, waste of time and money. It was too long and diameters too small when trimmed. Ended up butchering it to patch the old one, while a quality silicone one arrived from

This one fitted perfectly, took around 15 mins to fit.

Contacted the seller of the first hose, who have me a full refund even though I had cut the hose up, so fair play to him Thumbs Up

Grim think you were fairly lucky with that one and most definitely got a harder time than I did. Fair play! Silicone hoses next time possibly...

I have only just has the very same problem as this, split hose to the throttle body.

Whilst doing the timing belt I also replaced the intake hoses with silicone items and the throttle body as that was screeching like a banshee. After 124k miles all of the intake hoses were showing signs of their age, being weak in the walls and the usual large split in the throttle body hose.

My advise would be to replace them all whilst you are in there. I went for Britpart items, mostly because they were easy to get hold of. They were good quality items and fit perfectly without any trimming at all.

Phoebe drives much better now Thumbs Up

Good how to here, pipes under the engine are actually the easiest. Oil and hot water helps with getting the pipes on where tight. There is a plastic retainer that holds the intercooler pipe in place to prevent it from getting cut up by the AC pulley, I was lucky and it fitted the new silicon pipe

Not sure if it helps anyone, I fitted the LR066436 Intercooler pipe as it’s a single hose that is for the 2.2 Evoque and less points of failure if say one of the worm clips is not torqued correctly or overtorqued, don’t ask me how I know.
