Before I replaced my rear door switch a few hard bangs on the handle sometimes opened it. |

Try searching ‘emergency release for rear hatch’. Paul recently posted a modification which might help. |

I was able to do it by pushing the latch mechanism to the starboard with a small screwdriver, You'll probably need a good light to see what you're doing. Starboard = pax side US, driver side UK.

thanks for the replies chaps, normally id of tackled it myself but i just couldnt be bothered this time, so took it to the land rover garage over the road,(very handy) dont know how they did it but they did, and replaced the actuator, and the release catch as that hasnt worked for a year now, and also a new actuator/latch for the front N/S front door, everything is back to working as it should |
