freelander 2 sd4 auto 2013 price of power steering pump...!!!!

Just out of interest has anyone had their power steering pump replaced and a new reservoir ...
and what sort of prices have they been charged?


some prices I have been quoted i.e. pump from £103 to eye-watering £596.....

New steering pump fluid reservoir From £23 to £30.85 inc new cap

all these plus fitting (never got round to ask how long it would take ...

cant even have a holiday to get over the shock !!!

Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper.

Prices are dependent on chassis number. But as a ball park. Examples are shown below.

Power steering reservoir LR000578 vary in price from about £23 to £36 dependent on supplier.

Power steering pump LR032053 (new) these are about £450 earlier vehicles could benefit from LR007500 (re-manufactured) power steering pumps are dependent on chassis number are about £200

I dont know about price of pumps but I had a leak of PAS fluid which cost me nearly £350 to replace two PAS hoses, hydraulic fluid plus two bonnet struts (whiich decided to fail at the same time) with a total of two hours labour.

The mechanic told me I should be grateful I hadn't banjaxed the pump as well as that would have REALLY made my eyes water!
