United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Orkney Grey

I bought mine at just under 4 years old with 17000 miles. Now nearly 3 years later its on 74000. My commute has reduced to just 18 miles a day now so miles will be seriously reduced now. I'll keep this car for as long as feasible and it will likely not be worth too much much when I do change it. I'd say 150000 and 10/11 years old. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Managed to get a quick trip in all the way to the NE of Scotland to see various family members, and really enjoyed it apart from a continually presenting P0087 error code which reduced engine power dramatically. Car booked in to the garage to fault-find as trying to get up Scottish hills with no more than 2k revs was a tad frustrating! 2010 HSE TD4 Lago Grey

Luggage/dog guard and boot/trunk mat fitted today. Luggage guard required for family holidays, and floor mat just for keeping the floor clean from kids/muddy boots/other rubbish which inevitably ends up in there.

Passenger floor mats are on back order sadly. 2010 HSE TD4 Lago Grey

Sadly, they’re not THAT good... Very Happy

I am looking around the forum for tyre recommendations though as the front ones are about done in. 2010 HSE TD4 Lago Grey

Sat nav maps now updated to 2019 version with a disc from here:

All worked perfectly, so happy to recommend to others. 2010 HSE TD4 Lago Grey

@trev1 a colleague also ordered one for his wife's similarly aged Jaguar and it worked perfectly too. The only slightly confusing thing for me was that there was no particular indication that anything had changed on the sat nav. It looked exactly the same as before to me, but when I tried to search for a street built in the last three or four years it showed up whereas before it didn't! 2010 HSE TD4 Lago Grey

New battery fitted yesterday, as the old one seemed to be getting a bit poor at retaining charge. No discernible difference at all until while on the way home from a visit to the supermarket the engine suddenly switched off! Noticed that the green 'Eco' warning light in the speedo had come on, so quickly determined that, unbelievably, the stop-start actually worked! Given that all I've read about it is that essentially one should ignore it due to the 762 different causes for it not to work I'm delighted to see that, just occasionally, it does.

Now, non-operating parking sensors... Rolling Eyes 2010 HSE TD4 Lago Grey

Stop / start, is one of the first things the management system turns off, when your battery is low.

I drove around with a lowish battery for 2yrs, no stop / start. This summer I peak charged it with a solar cell charger. Was astonished to find that the battery became 'rejuvenated' and switched the stop / start back on automatically.

Now dead again.

Mine like many others just pleases itself about the stop start thing, no rhyme nor reason, luckily I don't care.
