Did a remedy for this fault ever come to light? Mine has started to do the very same thing.. |

Very common problem. The actuator motors get tired over time. It's time consuming to get the door apart to get to them, but it is do-able.

Yep. New actuator motors - they are cheap - 2 different motors per door. I got mine for about £8 per set IIRC Very DIYable - just takes quite a bit of time. Jules |

I have dismantled as far as door card off. The door locks fine, ie wire pulls inwards, on unlocking wire does not move. Easy to manually pull out to unlock. Wghat do the 2 motors do. One has a worm drive the other just a gear drive. Am thinking of getting new motor/s or am I better off getting a new latch mechanism entirely? |

My understanding is that the problems originate from worn carbon brushes inside the two motors. Some people replace the whole latch but as the latch itself is usually not the source of the issue and you have to dismantle the door to almost the same extent as the for motors, I went and opened the latch (not possible on some manufactures cars as the latches are rivetted together) and replaced just the motors. Taking the latch apart is easy providing you make careful note of where all the springs and levers go I took lots of pics as I went along. Jules |

I am watching an actuator of ebay but have ordered the pair of motors off Ali Express as well. At £4 all in worth a try. |

The ones from Ali-Express were made by AZGIANT - make a huge number of small motors (catalogue was included) -
