Hi do a search on battery problems for the freelander 2 if there is any doubt on the battery condition change it saves a lot of heart ache even if you can just borrow a battery to try it

The FL2 needs a good battery as it has a lot of electronic controllers that are loading when you first get in the car and turn on the ignition to start.

& while at it change the button cell in each of the fobs. It's easy enough to do for your car. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Hi changed battery plus key fobs fingers crossed no more messages mines a 64 plate metropolis With 79k and they said it was the original battery So I don’t think it’s done to bad
