Low battery

Hi I’ve just bought my first FR2 and loving it upto now it’s very thirsty 23mpg around the doors and about 28mpg on a run
I have also just started to get message when I start engine before sat nav loads it says battery low and engine will switch off in 3 mins and then it goes off I’ve had the battery checked at my local garage hey say the battery is is low but charging so does not need charging any ideas 💡

Thanks

The FL2 needs a good battery as it has a lot of electronic controllers that are loading when you first get in the car and turn on the ignition to start.
If due to poor power supply they fail to initialise correctly you will start to see lots of random faults.

If in doubt, get a new battery.

Look at some these posts

I’ve found the wheel arch trims more trouble than they are worth.
