Yes I have to agree with you what a place to position an oil filter, makes you think then how many don’t get changed during a service |

Hi I use a 27mm ratchet spanner with a flexible head, there are plenty on eBay or in tool stores. It then only takes a minute or so to change the filter.

Agree with AJ Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

in the oil filter housing there is a non return valve.

I relieve its a new housing, having said that i have seem them just dislodged before if someone has wiped around with a rag Jaguar x-type sport gone

Was the filter replaced with a genuine LR filter or a aftermarket filter ? As non genuine have been known to give the same problem. |
