You can laugh all you want, but I also have in this moment inside the latch a micro switch from an old mouse.

Is this the microswitch in the handle that opens the door, or a different one? I already replaced the switch in the handle last year. |

Then, it's the switch from the latch/door motor...

2015 latch is completely sealed, riveted shut and releasing the 4 rivets would completely disable the latch assembly.

I don’t see the point of saying “I’ve done this” without either explaining the process or offering pictures to illustrate considering the op’s request for information.

Appreciate advice as I'm stuck. Recently bought a new tailgate lock and lots of drama having to get the door open to replace it. That was about 3 weeks ago and all good. Now I have the message popping up that Tailgate is open which of course means I cannot lock the vehicle. Lock works perfectly fine opening and locking etc. Just can't get rid of this message to enable doors/alarms to be set.

For all the cost of the entire new switch and loom assembly, about £20, I wouldnt be bothered messing about and soldering old micro switches! Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I replaced all this last year when I had problems with corrosion and not working. Do you think that is the problem here again. |

Nothing wrong with the switch. Took it all off the door, fully checked and put back. Works fine. Where is the sensor that signals door open/locked. |
