Fuel filter would be the first thing to change. |

Welcome! As mentioned above the fuel filter should be checked (and changed) for a genuine one as there have been issues similar to yours reported caused by cheap aftermarket filters which do not allow excess fuel to return to the tank properly resulting in the fuel running excessively hot causing loss of power,poor running. I don't know about Km, but some on here say cambelt is now 7 years,

After having a cam belt break early and cause £1000 worth of damage to an engine (not my Freelander) I think I’d rather be safe than sorry. If Land Rover have reduced the service life of a part I’d hope it was because they found that the original recommendation of a 10 year life was leading to major costs for owners due to failure rather than the sceptical side of me thinking it was a way to fleece owners with increased service costs. |

The reduction in the cambelt service time is due to the fact that the 190HP SD4 engine, with the new generation injection system which is requiring higher common rail pressure, puts additional strain onto the cambelt. |
