So many wise after the event - the dire warnings from Prof (shagger) Ferguson back at the start of the pandemic set in motion a whole train of events that have subsequently proved wasteful. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Luckily the majority of young people seem relatively free from the serious effects of Covid.

SWMBO had her covid jab this morning. Very efficient service, reminded me of the Army way of mass jabbing except that for the covid jab you go into a little room for privacy and then have to wait for 15 minutes after the jab before you can get back to work.

There simply aren’t enough available trained staff to run them. We’re seeing so many of our staff either booking sick or presenting with symptoms and consequently being sent home whilst on duty it’s surprising that we’re still able to run any sort of Ambulance service. We’re losing staff in every area, call handlers through to road crews. We have instances of staff who house share, someone else in the house has symptoms and that potentially takes out our staff. If those staff are on duty, they go home and that could well mean their crew mates need to self isolate as well. One symptomatic person, potentially two ambulances lost for a week. At present, pretty much all of our crews will deal with symptomatic patients during a shift and despite all their PPE something eventually has to give |

This Tier system is a waste of time, as it only really affects the unemployed.

That's why we're being asked to work from home, if possible and if not to observe social distancing, mask up etc etc in everything we do. If you have to meet others in the course of your work, you all take appropriate precautions and so it shouldn't be necessary to segregate different tiers in the workplace. |
