I had a minor issue yesterday which needed a GP visit so my local health centre directed me to the online 111 service. I filled in a few questionaires about my problem and health and history etc and about an hour later got an email from GP saying probably nothing but we will run a few blood tests. Went in and got tested straight away. Nurse said it's very quiet, nobody seems to be ill these days. Makes you wonder if people are storing up problems for later or perhaps it shows that a lot of visits are unnecessary? Overall though, it was a lot easier than trying to make an appointment. People are perhaps now realising that for the sake of queuing a short while at the local pharmacy they will gain access to knowledgeable staff and potions that will treat their sore throat, paper cuts, a child with teething problems and such like, for which they'd otherwise call for an ambulance as they can't get a bloody doctors appointment. These are the same sorts of 'ailments' that prevent them calling during the Cup Final or EastEnder specials

The curve has flattened in many places but in quite a few countries that curve is sustaining at that level. If you go with worldometer stats, the world death rate of all "closed" cases is 21%. Hopefully that percentage will drop.

My Son says that A&E is pretty quiet (but being made up by a certain other issue!) and the people that usually come in for a 3 mm splinter in their finger or “a bit of a headache” (I kid you not) are scared to go out thankfully, and especially to hospital where they might catch a real disease  Regards

Can't help but notice that JLR keeps appearing in the business sections of papers.

They are concerned that it is using up £1billion a month during lockdown, and as it uses 25 million parts a day (many 'just in time') to build it's cars, how it is going to get back up into production.
