I think that Citroen still stands out thanks to the innovative suspension on their lastest models |

What innovative suspension is that then and is it different to the Peugeot’s that it shares its other hardware with? |

Yes Peugeot and Citroen share the same platform but not the suspension, at least not on Citroen equipped with Hydractive suspension |

Unfortunately as I suspected it’s definitely NOT hydractive suspension, it is a conventional suspension system but with hydraulic bump and rebound stops, a completely different animal indeed.....shame Regards

Yes it's not Hydractive you're right, it's still offers a more comfortable ride than a 100% conventional suspension like on his sister the 5008 peugeot .. but why is it a shame ? |

Because the real Hydractive suspension was brilliant at what it did, this new system just uses convention springs/dampers but with hydraulic “bump stops” built into the dampers to soften the extremes of travel.

Oh that is a shame They’ve got all the tried and trusted hydraulic technology waiting to be put back to use and this is what they come up with instead. At least there’s still air on the bigger LR’s 👍 |

When the Activa was launched we “borrowed” one from a Paris dealer and did quite a few tests on our track, completely walked all over our usual parameters, quite a machine, very clever.....but better than that I still have the little chrome emblem the Paris Citroen dealer put on the back of the car Regards
