Annoyingly its made as well as the footwell bulb holders - cheap and nasty. I had to glue mine in as tabs break very easily. To demonstrate just how cheap and mean JLR can be, they fully fitted the footwell bulb holders in my 2014 SE Tech but didnt fit bulbs as I think that option was only available on the Metropolis at the time. I found the bulb holders by accident whilst trying to refit the above fuse cover. Jules |

Same as in my 2013 XS - wiring and bulb holders fitted, but no bulbs as I think footwell lights are only standard on HSE spec. Easy enough to fit the bulbs, but pretty miserly of JLR not to do it for the sake of a couple of quid... |

Indeed, mine is SE tech and has the footwell lamp holders but no bulbs. The next question is, does it have the wiring for the lights in the underside of the doors? |

I don't think the puddle lamps wiring is present if you don't already have the lamps in the underside of the doors. There are quite a few threads on the forum about this already though - some people have added the wires as they come directly from the door control module, and the lights are available aftermarket relatively cheaply. Means taking the door cards off and updating the CCF iirc. Not too complex but I haven't been bothered enough to do it myself. I did do the footwells though, since it was simply a case of putting two bulbs in the holders, it seemed daft not to... |

There is no wiring to the puddle lamps at the bottom of the door.

It would be interesting to know how they decide on which of these little marginal things to use to demarcate between the levels within a vehicle range. Jules |

It depends what is meant by cover, mine has the lower one where the passengers feet go and after removing the glove box, mine has a cloth cover to protect the fuses but no actual plastic cover on the fuse board. 64 plate TD4 SE Santorini Black 2021 Mazda MX5 GT Sport Tech |

There is cloth covering the fuses but that is sound proofing, not much use, I've added a lot more, 24mm thick https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic33026-45.html

Re puddle lamps. I have a 2014 SE Tech as well. You will find a little plastic piece which you can prise out and fit an aftermarket lamp but there is no wiring present. |
