Well maybe Power Washer thread should have been placed somewhere else Embarassed Confused Embarassed

anyway Exterminate all Off Topic Daleks then Rolling with laughter

silly thread anyway Whistle its not advised to use power washers on cars for obvious reasons anyway Shocked What’s wrong with a simple hose with a nossel similar to the one CG showed earlier - works a treat at a fraction of the cost. Thumbs Up

ps - I do own a Karcher power washer, but it is used for more purposeful jobs 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

never ever done any damage to a car with a power wash, if you use common sense and don't blast away at areas where you could force water into it,

firing the jet at 45degrees also, so the dirt flows off the paint not into it Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I must admit I clean mine with the bucket and hose and find it ok.
The only area where a power washer is good in my opinion is on the wheels and ground in grime/flies on the front etc.
As Npinks says, as long as you dont direct it right at the paint it should be ok.
Thumbs Up

power washers are good for arches suspension etc, and a diy on is unlikely to damage the paint unless there is a loose edge on the paint in the first place, My 3000 psi farm pressure washer doesn't rip off good paint but broken areas are soon enlarged Confused So I have only used it once on the fl2 (after kielder forest). Anyway any areas of paint work that are pressure washed will still need a bucket/sponge to get them properly clean.

If I put the dirtblaster nozzle on the pressure washer it makes a great strimmer and waters the garden at the same time. Anyone with a green stained patio to clean should look into getting one they have a super sharp pencil jet that rotates at high speed covering a wide area very effectivly. just dont put your hand near it it will slash your skin
