There are 2 fuel pumps. An electric pump in the tank balancing the two sides of the tank as it straddles the prop shaft. A mechanical pump driven by the cam shaft which supplies filtered high pressure fuel to the injectors. There is no lift pump, you have to make sure that you’ve bled the air out of the feed line and fuel filter using a vacuum pump or you’ll have problems getting combustion. There are instructions for bleeding the filter on the forum if you use the search function. |

There is no push up from the fuel tank pump, that just makes sure that the feed line in the tank is below the fuel level. The high pressure pump at the cam shaft will only suck fuel, doesn’t like air, which is why it is so important that the feed line and fuel filter are bled properly. Also needs to be a good quality fuel filter. |

Most times that the fuel lines are disconnected you will need to bleed the system, do a search on here, there is plenty of info re doing it. Manage to bleed through the filter ok, however getting no fuel out of the injectors now...
Does that mean to add the primer hand pump on the left hand side of the return pipe on the fuel filter? And suction it through the whole system? |
