I'd rather involve my insurance company as little as possible. They haven't been involved with this claim at all as it has all been done by the other side. I would fully expect my insurer to try and turn it in to a proper claim if I asked them to do any work on it.

Wise!!! Thumbs Up

That sounds a bit nasty. Thankfully mine didn't go like that. However I think the wording in most insurance applications asks if you've been involved in any accident whether or not you were at fault.

"Any accidents, claims or losses in any vehicle within the last 5 years regardless of blame?" if no claim was made you still declare as an accident but not claimed for, so it gets recorded as information only/non fault as your insurance didn't pay out.

Hope this helps

Thanks for that.

I received my renewal quote from my insurers, with the no claim accident logged and it was £20 cheaper than last year 🤣 FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…
