Ok. Got a call from other party insurer this morning. They have offered to cover everything including an equivalent hire car for the duration of the repair. Cant really argue with that.

When the third party insurer took over the management of my claim they arranged the hire car, it was delivered to my house.....that was LV........and actually one of the reasons we try to use them for our own insurance now, not the cheapest but any service I’ve had from them has been first rate Regards

Yeah, the hire car costs are all covered by the insurer. Although if I want £0 excess on it, it costs like £6 per day. Considering it'll be parked in a public retail park car park every day, I'll be paying that as it'll get dinged. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

You will have to declare it for the next 5 years and try to find out the cost of the repair as most companies ask for it. |

Yeah, I would always declare it, but good point about the damage value. The paperwork I received didn't have that on it. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

I'd rather involve my insurance company as little as possible. They haven't been involved with this claim at all as it has all been done by the other side. I would fully expect my insurer to try and turn it in to a proper claim if I asked them to do any work on it. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

But they'll need to know at some point regardless of who's dealing with the repair. They possibly know already if the other partys insurers have alerted them. |

That sounds a bit nasty. Thankfully mine didn't go like that. However I think the wording in most insurance applications asks if you've been involved in any accident whether or not you were at fault. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
