Now you fine gents have me curious, does this method described just above above also work for a NA model 2008 LR2SE? I actually thought my side mirror defrost was also activated by the rear window defroster. |

Probably depends on MY and specification. My 2007 TD4 mirror heaters also work with the rear window demister. |

As the cct diagram only shows the exterior door mirror heater wire only going back to the Door Module, where it is controlled by the CAN bus, it is hard to know how it is programmed to work. The Central Junction Box has access to lots of information from sensors and switches around the car.

Down under it generally doesn't get cold enough to see if it automatically turns on. I think the mirrors are more likely to warp from heat! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
