Rear diff rebuild/recon

Simple question, how long would you expect one to last? Cheers

Almost impossible to answer given all the variables. ie, rebuilt/recon by whom, were all bearings/seals renewed, what make/quality of bearings were used etc.

If top quality ie Timken bearings were used & it was done by someone who knew what they were doing & set up correctly, then I would certainly hope to get at least 200,000 km out of it but as you know the reputation of these diffs might also mean that is quite optimistic!

Cheers,

My11. I have 230000klms and not complaining. I changed the oil last year and it showed no signs of gunge/ metal bits. There is some noise but I can't be sure if its diff bearing/ tyre noise/ other drivetrain bearing or wheel bearing. The noise isn't enough to have me worry just yet.
