how did you manhandle the gearbox - its so heavy Jules

Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame



This is the last moment before separation of the gearbox and engine. The engine is resting on the two stands and the gearbox is resting on the jack. I gently sled the gearbox away from the engine while it was resting on the jack, then lowered the jack and pulled the gearbox away from the car. I had an assistant operating the jack while I guided and supported the gearbox. Installation was basically reverse of removal.
