Had that on earlier policies on the Impreza and Forester and found it also disqualified me from a courtesy car, unless my preferred repairer offered me one, at my cost. Seems they weren't happy about non-recommended workshops despite their preferred garage to my home address getting shabby reviews from pretty much everyone that passed through their doors. Added to that, although they'd take my car away 'immediately' and drop off a courtesy car, their preferred garage wouldn't be able to even look at it for at least a fortnight.

And I have just noticed that if you go abroad you need a green card (or two if you have a caravan). Looks like the old days before the EU. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Not had that notification from LV lately (been with them a while), no doubt it’s either a new condition or they reckon your a crap driver

There are quite a few insurers who do not automatically insure fully comprehensive in the EU mainly RBS associated companies, Direct Line, Churchill and a few others, whether this is considered a Green Card is moot, it is not a EU requirement but is an excuse to gather extra premiums. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I'm with, LV have been for years, Direct Line wanted £130 more for same cover. Had to make a claim for, Pam's lost hearing aid on house insurance, LV paid out in 4 days. I would highly recommend LV. |

Indeed, LV were not the cheapest of our quotes but for just £50 over the very cheapest (Slick Sid Insurance Co) I felt,it worth the extra considering the customer feedback and reviews, they’ve been good to us since being with them. Regards David Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me...... Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again...... |

Direct Line wanted to increase my premium by over £80 this year so I shopped around and got Aviva Premium for £240, includes European comp cover, no excess for windscreen, no excess for own repairer. DL charged me over £100 last year for European cover!!! MY 2013 SD GS Auto |
