I cleaned the threads with a tap & die, applied blue locktite and set the torque to 30Nm. Jules |

Im not sure why they say to use new bolts for the FL2 - they're not stretch bolts and these didnt have Locktite on them. Ive never replaced caliper bolts (unless severely corroded) - just cleaned them (the threaded ends often go rusty as they stick out the other side of the hub) and added new locktite. Jules |

Yes, in the past Ive replaced pads which came with new caliper to carrier/ sliding pin bolts - cant remember which car it was though.

Hi has any tried the plug in SP or any other make of these device which just talk to the car they range from £35 to £200 .not for the freelander but VW .i have seen reports were they work when others say there a waste of money. |
