United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Firenze Red

When travelling above speeds of 2MPH pulling on and holding the EPB switch results in a gradual reduction of speed along with a warning chime and illumination of the brake lights. Below 2MPH the handbrake applies suddenly with no chimes or brake lights (According to the handbook) so looks like no fun to be had there!

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Ipanema Sand

Hmmm I wouldn't say gradual, mine does a fairly swift stop, not enough to engage ABS but definitely not a gradual stop. Works wonderfully well though and if you push the lever off (with the footbrake on) you can then ease the brake off for a nice controlled slow movement.  MY2014 SD4 XS
