Isn't Denmark in the EU Question Question Question

If your vehicle is immobilised in Europe and the problem canīt be resolved at the roadside, Land Rover Roadside Assistance will organise and pay for the recovery of your vehicle to the nearest Land Rover dealer/Authorised Repairer.

Nope, my dealer said LRA dropped of a French car last summer which was collected later by a couple of tourists in a loan car.
Also a local guy's car was assisted when the hunter lost his keys. Guy's car was in the middle of a field and had to wait for 2 hours, LRA helped him out.

All here in Belgium.

He advised to call him (the dealer) first though and he'll give the nesessary advice...

I believe LRA is only for cars still in guarantee though.

Strange that Denmark should be different Shocked Here in Norway which is NOT in the EU we do have Land Rover Roadside Assistance as part of the deal on new vehicles and as bjartin mentioned its a good idea to be a NAF member (similar to AA or RAC in the UK) after the warrenty period. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Stormsky & rover60, Jimmy has a manual transmission.

The fault must lie here in the middle console, I think. ?
Itīs only here and under the seat, the mechanic has been . (As far as I know).

I'm afraid I'm familiar with this problem...
1) Just wait, after half an hour (or 2 hours...) the problem will solve with itself.
2) Faster: remove the battery poles and put them together for 10 min. or charge the battery for a while.
Can't give you any guarantee though but -in my case - it helped.
3) cry for help.

If you try to find a phone or garage in the neighbourgood don't forget to close the car - using your key...oops Confused

Good luck Thumbs Up

hi all,

thanks for the tips (& it's a manual gearbox Thumbs Up ).

They tried the battery disconnect & shorting method - and still the stop/start is dead & the keyfob stuck Big Cry

It must be a combination of hardware + software problems ??

Maybe the alarm problems I have been having recently (opening the boot sets the alarm off) has something to do with it........perhaps the alarm system has immobilised the stop/start button ???

Nightmare or what............
