47 mm 1 7/8” detachable tow ball. Australia/New Zealand.

Has anyone found/got/ know where to buy a 47mm detachable tow ball for the FL2, based on the Brink factory fitted tow bar?

Brink say they didn’t make one, so I’m not hopeful!!!

Or view on finding a wreck and having a 50mm machined down to 47 (yeah right!)

If it’s for use in the UK, or even the EU, then you could have problems as it won’t have Type Approval as I’m pretty sure that Type Approval is only given to 50 mm tow balls. And grinding down a 50 mm one is definitely a no-no!

Well no, in the uk/EU the only trailers and caravans would have 50mm tow hitches.

I’ve exported the car to NZ where the standard is 47mm. I need the 50 as I also have a uk caravan. And another car with 50mm ball.

But any trailer I borrow or hire would be 47mm. Bummer eh!?

Do Land Rover in Australia or New Zealand not do one?
