If your tank is "bunded" then let them know as this would contain any leakage/spillage should the tank fail. It is the potential failure and the move to plastic tanks (subject to sudden failure) that has them worried.

I am beginning to think that there are so many exclusions with insurance (and travel insurance in particular) that you might as well not bother. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

in my first house that I bought in 2003 I was ringing round for mortgage protection insurance in case I was ever out of work.
