Hi All
got most things out the way (battery and air box gone) but having issues try to disconnect the wiring on the top, the thin lead one nut easy peezy the 2nd (appears to have a loom attached) just will not budge seems like the stud is spinning with the nut
any ideas?
i was told this would be like a couple of hours job, im current 6 hours in getting a bit annoyed now
can get pictures if needed

These are my starter motor connections. The one nearest the engine has had the plastic cover removed.

Can you grip the stud in any way ?

Also be very careful that you don't drop anything into the bell housing once the starter motor is out. Its easy to drop a nut and it bounces inside.

If the stud protrudes above the nut can you hacksaw a slot into it and insert a small flat head screwdriver to apply counter torque ? Jules

The UK didn't get the 4 cylinder petrol engine, we got the 2.2 diesel instead.  Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Hi Jules yes it is the big one, ive just seen there is a nut at the bottom but appears to be behind these black plastic crenulations i think this is what's spinning and doesn't appears to be any breaks to allow a spanner to get around or am i being thick?
