United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Loire Blue

At one point we had two FL2s in the family, one was 2010 and the other a 2011 facelift both GS models. The footwell lamps were installed on the earlier model but not the latter. The same with my current XS where I had to put the bulbs in myself. All seems a bit random but every FL2 owner should check for footwell lamp holders. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Orkney Grey

I put the footwell bulbs in my 15my SE Tech. Talking of options that work straight away when connected, I had an Audi A4 cabriolet. It didn’t have heated mirrors. Audi charged I think about £200 for that option. I borrowed a friends mirror glass and tried it on my car and they worked. Would Audi sell me the mirror glass, No. heated mirrors weren’t on my car fitted option. I used my friends reg number and bought them. Fitted and they worked perfectly. Didn’t cost £200 either.

1. 4x4i is part of the SW code in DH52-10E889-##

2. You’ve probably not got coding correct for Byte 252.

3. As I’ve explained many times just because you turn “one” field on doesn’t mean a feature will enable/activate and some features may require “multiple” activation. Saying this “enabling” Byte 252 brought 4x4i up on my vehicle. Your vehicle is an “SE” and may need other fields active. MY15

Why are some people so reluctant to share information?...
OK, some info could lead to a bricked car, but its not their responsibility, isn't it?
The smith that builds a knife is responsible with the way the knife is used? Once the user warned about dangers, then...
And so, we return to the original question, why keeping the info so tight?
Maybe they forgot that once they've been in the same situation and some people helped them unconditionally by sharing info and tools?...

Thanks Stuartc. You are the only person who has always answered my questions. Bow down

So the work that you stimulated me to do, has some small bugs, or it has an option not activated that does not make it work, but the procedure is correct! Shocked

In fact I have replaced field 251, I have not added a new field 252.
Is this my mistake?
-----------------
<group start = "251" stop = "251" name = "GROUP_CCF_EUCD_BRAND_RESERVED_AREA">
..... etc
</group>

and I glued at the same place this field

<group start = "251" stop = "251" name = "GROUP_CCF_EUCD_4X4_INFORMATION_DISPLAY">
..... etc
</group>
-----------------

I had done an upgrade with EH52-10E889-AE display. I replace it and go back, put the DH52-10E889-AE display back on. Mr. Green

I try, now I hope to be close to the solution. Whistle Freelander 2 Y13 TD4 SE - Alaska White

Well the Extra Functions key is active.

It is activated with the InControl App option, but it makes no sense if there is no hardware.
My target now is 4x4i, and I believe I am very close to the end of this road.
Now is the break time for a good coffee. Laughing Freelander 2 Y13 TD4 SE - Alaska White

As a comparison. I do (retired) architectural 3d work. Have my own render farm. The amount of work behind the scenes to get things working is astronomical & I only have the skills to touch the surface.

If you are asking questions as per a few posts above, leave code alone.

I have done a lot to my car, but knowing the amount of endless time involved getting 3d rendering working as efficiently as possible, I personally could not be stuffed fiddling around behind the scenes. A single wrong letter in your code & then absolutely nothing works. If you get a few letters wrong then take a rope! You need to be an extremely methodical administrator at the bare minimum.

Do something practical instead.

Remember .. The most practical thing in the world is whatever you do, do it well my friend!! Thumbs Up Freelander 2 Y13 TD4 SE - Alaska White

Well done!
Although, if you're asking me, in my opinion, on Haldex based platforms (FL2/Evoque & Co.), the 4x4i is completely useless.
There is no central locking diff, no rear locking diff, no height adjustment and so on...
