Bleed air from coolant td4 auto

Heater matrix has started leaking coolant on my wife’s ‘07 FL2 TD4 auto.... wet carpets in passenger footwell, steam from vents, etc. Will get it replaced ASAP but on holiday for the next 2 days so I need to limp it home first... and of course all my manuals are at home Sad

Have topped up the coolant, but I can’t find where to bleed any air lock... advice please! Google has let me down because I can only find pictures of freelander 1s or manual gearboxes.

Thank you

So far as I am aware there are no bleed points as such. I think air locks are unlikely, but if you get one (engine overheating) then the procedure is to squeeze all accessible pipes, top up coolant to the max mark after everything has cooled down then try again. Good luck.

Just checked the workshop manual - to paraphrase - just fill it with coolant and run the engine at 2000rpm with cabin heater on - top up coolant as air is placed from system until level becomes stable. Jules

Your AC drain pipe just under the centre console may just be blocked are you loosing a lot of coolant ? If not go and check that. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
