What "impressed" me the most was how the muppets were trying to de-knacker themselves by stepping over a taunt winch wire plus no effort to keep spectators back to a safe distance especially given the idiotic snach attempts. Overall the most dangerous and unskilled recovery effort I have seen (until the professionals turned up) even including some nutters* at pay and play sites. It should have been obvious at the outset that backing recovery vehicles onto the beach was simply an invitation to get them stuck. They even had the example of the RR they were supposed to recover getting stuck so there was no excuse.
