More service issues

I bit the bullet and decided on sticking with the dealer service at their ridiculous prices! Having handed over £378 for the service including heater recall I now have a car worse than when it went in... the reversing sensors have gone haywire the shifter button on the auto stick doesn't work so it moves freely between PRND and the one touch window button now doesn't work.

I will let you know how I get on!

It is risky to have the car in for service. I always think of what will be wrong this time. For something is wrong, almost always.
I had the car in for P014 last week, and now 3 minutes goes before my seat will be noticeably hot. Earlier this happen almost immediately.
You can say there are trifles, yes, but it is annoying. LR Freelander2 2,2 Td4 HSE manuel Stornaway Grey (Metallic) & Ebony Black Leather & Sun/Moon-roof & Bi-Xenon & Roof Rails & Tow bar & Body side rubbing strips & Cold climate pack & Privacy glass & NavTeq . United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Izmir Blue

Had the same problem with the auto gear stick after the service dept at the local dealers changed the light on the gearbox.
I called out landrover assist as the garage deemed the car not safe to drive due to the possibility of knocking the gear into reverse whilst driving.
Took the guy about 30 mins to rectify the fault.
The odd thing is that someone drove my vehicle back from the dealers to my house with this fault!!!!!!

As for the auto.To move from park to reverse you have to push the knob in. From reverse you can go straight in to neutral or drive without pushing the knob in you can go from drive to neutral without the knob but it will not let you select reverse without the knob in 07my Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Baltic Blue,Privacy Glass,Ebony black leather,Land rover detachable towbar,S/S Side bars,Climair wind deflectors,Bramble Rash,

the one touch windows is an easy fix, they disconnect the battery when doing the recall, this loses the top position measurement, just close all windows and then hold each switch in the up position one at a time until you hear a click from each regulator. hope this helps, Richh. they all do that!
