Agree that Westover LR is expensive (Both Salisbury and Christchurch). I use Yeovil LR who still do the 3+ year deal. I have also in the past on older vehicles used www.evansgarage-dorchester.co.uk who I can recommend. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Yeovil LR have the 3+ scheme on their website. You have to ask for it.

I have a similar thread going in the Maintenance and Modifications section of the forum. To be precise, how to avoid the eye watering price of £550 requested for a 4 year "B" service at the Portsmouth main dealer.

I know DIY servicing is not for everyone, but all the parts (JLR and Castrol or Shell C1) are under £100. The special spanner is about a tenner. The important safety service checks are carried out on an MOT and the non-essential locks and hinges lubes etc you can do yourself.

I used to do my own servicing on my wife's cars (I had a company motor) and used to keep receipts for everything and put all details on a spreadsheet. When she change her last car the dealer was quite impressed by the wadge of stuff that I handed over. However for a Freelander under extended warranty I don't want the warranty compromised in any way so insist on LR servicing. One of the reasons I have stuck with LR is that they have never queried warranty work or charged for looking at a problem.
