I use an old Kindle and my iPad (with Kindle App) on the same account. Never seen any advertising. Don’t know about Voyager.

I buy books via Amazon and I still prefer to buy an actual book.

I use a Kindle Fire HD tablet with 8inch screen. I use it for all my reading, plus of course, it is a fully functioning tablet computer. I download all my books direct to the tablet, mostly from Amazon. I think it was about £80, which is brilliant value for money. I have not bothered to remove the advertising. An advert only appears when you first open the device, and with one swipe, it's gone. I also have a very old (original) Kindle, and books transfer OK from that the the Fire. Hope that's helpful. (PS, I don't work for Amazon... ) Currently enjoying:

Genuine Kindle come with the cheaper option of no adverts or the slightly more expensive option of adverts being removed by the factory. I don't think the ads are that intrusive tbh but each to their own...

Yes we can use other devices like ipads or tablets then downloaded kindle apps to read books. However I have found that the kindle battery lasts a long time, weeks even because its sole function is an e reader where other devices will need charging more often because we use them like a computer. |

I have a generation 1 Kindle reader, battery lasts forever and it must be over 10 years old now and the small size means it fits in a jacket pocket easily. Also have the app on my Android, never seen an advert on either device. REME .. Rough Engineering Made Easy |

Certainly no negative battery issues whatsoever in using an iPad to read Kindle. It'll give many, many hours of use before even thinking about a top-up recharge. Like every other electronic device it just needs plugged in to recharge whenever it's deemed required. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:- Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip, Bluetooth Music Streaming Module. |
