My Peugeot 504 had four 7 inch sealed beams originally, swapped them for 4 halogen 2 x 55w & 2 x 120w. They were really good, the 7 inch reflector threw a lot of light where it was needed. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black

The HID’s are back in stock. Got the stealth X 35w set delivered yesterday and fitted. As Bobupndown previously said you have to Turn the polarity round on the lead but once that is done it all works a treat. I went for the 6500k version but may buy replacement 5500k lamps at £20 as they are very very white. But oh my god i Can see at night. Fitted everything inside the headlamp itself as bob advised but it is snug in there and may need to open it up again and tidy it up today for piece of mind. Along with the driver which sticky pads on to a free surface there are also 2 smaller boxes on the leads that will need fixing down I think to stop them rattling around. I will post a pic tonight MY06 FL1 TD4 2 door red (gone)

Yes I had a quad set of lamps on my FL1, as used on the Camel Trophy edition. Original ZDW German lamps ???

Glad to hear you're pleased with them I think I'd be pretty confident recommend ing them to anyone, the difference really is incredible. Same result as changing to xenon headlights at a tiny fraction of the price. Like to see the pictures of yours and the colour of the 6500k version. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Hard to tell the difference between the 2 'temperatures', are you still going to change them? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

The camera seems to have balanced it out as they are very white but I do like it so won’t be changing them for now. MY06 FL1 TD4 2 door red (gone)

Would these be OK on a MY2014? Is the polarity swap a simple job?
Just had another Nightbreaker fail and really CBA to swap like for like. I resorted to keeping a full twin set I the car previously as they were blow-happy.

Hi Dakers
Yes would be suitable for a my14 as they are projector lights.
The polarity swap is simple. There is a extension connector lead that comes with the kit and on the female end of the lead I removed the clip and then pushed a pin down the side of the electrical connector and it released it from the plug. Do the same on the both wires and then put them back in the opposite side.
I can add a photo if you need.
Doing it this way means the original wiring remains the same in case I need to put the lamps back in for the MOT MY06 FL1 TD4 2 door red (gone)

I dont have a photo, Darren W may be able to assist.
There are detailed instructions provided it really is just a case of connecting plugs.
Basically the two pin connector you remove from the existing head lamp bulb plugs into a matching connector on the silver ballast which is the large metal box shown in the images of the kit. When you plug it in in the normal manner the lights do not work, you simply have to remove the plug and insert it 180%. It may look initially as if it will not fit like this due to the position of the retaining clip but it pops straight in.
The remainder of the plugs involved simply clip into matching sockets/
Having done one set I would be confident that I could do another witin 10 minutes. Thumbs Up

I think HiDs4U and autobulbsdirect are probably the same company as they have an identical address in Hampshire and sell the bulbs used by BobUpnDown.

Powerbulbs are based in Wakefield are dont have these for sale. Jules
