I never use my dip reverse mirrors and disabled them from the instrument control panel. I feel that the safety of pedestrians/children is comprised as your looking at the wheels even though I have a factory rear camera and park aid, I like to see what I’m backing into whilst monitoring the view from my mirrors.

In the manual for my 09 reg "mirror dipping on reverse" is only available if you have memory seats.

if you don't want them to dip,set the mirrors where you want while in reverse, then set in memory |

Mirrors: put car in reverse set mirrors to where you want them , change gear to any other setting , mirrors will resume normal setting. Next time you put it in reverse the mirrors will move to your reverse setting.
