Electric window/ mirrors questions

Couple of questions for all .. firstly all my electric windows work fine except drivers it only goes up and down about 2 inch at a time so you have to keep re pressing button 10 times to open/close annoying on a daily basis getting into works car park . If I pull the glass up when it's going up it makes no difference so I'm thinking it's not the safety stop function kicking in .. quite happy to change regulator with motor etc but I'm wondering if there is a relay or something in the door control module and that the fault could be in there instead .anyone had this problem? Also I'm sure my side mirrors used to tilt downward when I selected reverse . Is there a setting somewhere for this? Thanks if anyone can help Tim

The mirrors on my car are part of the seat memory set up.
I just adjust the seat, adjust the mirrors for normal driving and set the seat memory.
Then I select reverse reset the mirrors for reversing (slightly down to look at rear wheels) and then set memory again.
Have you accidently reset your seat memory? FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

I am 99% sure I read in the manual that this is a function that the dealer can remove if not needed, it struck me as odd as I find them useful to dip, so maybe you just need some wacky tweak done ! Thumbs Up

I never use my dip reverse mirrors and disabled them from the instrument control panel. I feel that the safety of pedestrians/children is comprised as your looking at the wheels Rolling Eyes even though I have a factory rear camera and park aid, I like to see what I’m backing into whilst monitoring the view from my mirrors.

In the manual for my 09 reg "mirror dipping on reverse" is only available if you have memory seats.

if you don't want them to dip,set the mirrors where you want while in reverse, then set in memory

Set

Mirrors: put car in reverse set mirrors to where you want them , change gear to any other setting , mirrors will resume normal setting. Next time you put it in reverse the mirrors will move to your reverse setting.

Electric window: close window fully with button continue to hold button up until you feel/ hear a click let go button, window will now go up and down with one touch. You can reverse this by doing exactly the same thing again 2007 hse auto

Carlsson, your HSE must have 'memory seats' hence settings.

the Mirror-Dip feature is ONLY if the vehicle has memory seats .... as per the manual. Whistle

I think from memory you will like this as 2 men talk about the empty seat at the World Cup.

The man: “Who would ever miss the World Cup final?”
The guy: “That was my wife’s seat. We have been to the last five World Cup finals together, but sadly she passed away.”
The man: “That’s terrible, but couldn’t you get another member of the family, friend, or someone else to come with you?”
The guy: “No…they are all at the funeral!” Whistle FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
